Got to finalise that job application by tomorrow. Fortunately they allow email submissions or I would have had to send it in by *checks clock* now.
Last night was slightly productive, writingwise. Because I am transcribing by section, I copied over 1697 words of Spare Parts, including the only existing dialogue in my damiroque conlang. Lately I have been thinking I should use something else in place of that. Might use an existing language like Lojban in its place (provided I ever get round to checking it out) unless I can sort out something I like. And the apostrophes definitely have to go, since it seems they are actually used to represent sounds. Classic secondary world writer mistake.
After that I managed to get hold of Elegant Girl again and 'finish' the sequence I was attempting a couple of days ago, though really it just leads into yet another. That part will be trickier since it has to echo in particular ways I do not understand yet.
Started work on Day 14 of Discourteous Joe too. Train rides are nice. May throw in a mystery to make the ride more fun. Everyone loves train journeys punctuated by mysterious mysteries and suspicious suspects, right?
Also some outlining in class for my so-called Dark Elf stories (after work, naturally), but those don't count.
Spare Parts:
Still dreadful, makes me twitchy eager to fix.
Discourteous Joe:
Elegant Girl:
Monthly Goal:
Oh look at that! Eight days and I have already reached my goal for this month. I will not bother to calculate how many words I must delete each day to be exact.
Excessive Goal:
Not so close. If this month were eighty days long I would be fine. Still, this is the first day I have actually exceeded the daily target to meet that. Unlikely I can do so again today, I am nearly falling asleep and it is not even 20:00 yet. If I do want to make that target, I will need to conjure an average of 1960 words/day for the rest of the month.
Were the internet to stop chattering, that might be doable. *puts the internet to sleep*
