And of course spiders are a bit more of an issue in your part of the world than they are here. There are, thankfully, no venomous ones in the UK :o)

Wait, none? You're pulling my leg, right?

The ones I have seen around are mostly harmless, unless I were to provoke the wolf spider darting about the lounge room, and that would likely be just unpleasant. Although I don't know what sort of spider the one on my leg was.

I'm fairly sure they're all venomous. It's a question of whether humans need to fear their venom...

No, I'm not teasing. There are NO venomous spiders in the UK and only one (mildly) venomous snake- the viper or adder.
