The 2nd one seems to raise the question of whether or not he's rather prone to these instinctual freak outs. xD The blimp thing seems just as as scary to him and just as instinctual and automatic from his descriptions of his feelings as him subjecting himself to torture :O

This is true. I wondered the same when I discovered he wrote both.
