Continuing that backlog

Having been six months since my last photo post, we continue with something from just four days after the last one.

Since I had been cooking lately, my mother asked me to make something from a recipe. I no longer remember what it was called, but here are some photos of it in progress and finished.











I think it came out tastily, but very sweet.

Whoa, they look sweet. I was wondering what those disc-like things were at first!

I think the final product looks like a much more sophisticated version of the concoctions that would spew forth from our E-Z bake oven before it either broke or we were allowed to use the real stove. Good work! I haven't baked pastry-like food in so long, but I guess I haven't minded because there is only one person here to absorb any treats.

It was a recipe that came with a box of breakfast cereal, so perhaps not a huge step up (although I don't know if we even have those here).

I don't think I'd want to make those again - memory says they were a bit too sweet. But it does help that I can usually persuade at least a couple of people to try food I have made.
