Relatively little this week, part because I have been writing and part because assembling these is tedious. Might be able to make it a bit more convenient at least. Oh well. This is a bunch of stuff.

Edit: Well that was tedious. Very tired last night but I should have remembered Deepest Sender insists on defaulting to rich text editing.

- Not Perfect [So far everyone I recall saying Obama's race does not matter has been white, which is rather suggestive of privilege to be able ignore it. It may not be so important as to eclipse everything else into irrelevance, but race is important in this case and Obama's election would remain significant for that fact even if every other factor lending it significance were stripped away. As for the rest, I have no comment - this blog is generally mulling material for me. The comments make me queasy though, with the expressed fear of trampling and desire for 'centrism' and pro-Americanism. About what I have come to expect from most blogs with science fictional connections, if more articulate and polite and, yes more centrist.]
Everyday Stranger
- I'm Angry [Just so]
- Children in Need and the Time of My Life [Very much hoping there will be an official recording of that run of Hamlet I could watch some time. And Children in Need? I think if I were living in the UK they would be high on my list of candidate charities - My personal charity preference is for those providing education and opportunities to people who may be able to go on and help others in turn.]
New Humanist
- The parable of the Westboro Baptist Church and the prodigal son [Interview here with Nate Phelps, now atheist and abuse survivor. *shivers*]
Pam's House Blend
- Thinking about the Election [If there is truth to that first comment, that is extremely disappointing.]
