It seems it was quite popular about two years ago, but lost_angelwings showed me this thread in which people have taken Garfield strips and removed Garfield's thought bubbles. It improves the comic greatly.

Later, some people took it a step further and removed Garfield entirely. Poor Jon, delusional and alone.

Hi, we have a mutual lj friend and that is what brought me here randomly (gotta love that random click into other's journals, lol)

I just had to comment on this post because it is amazingly awesome! I had forgotten about these strips that removed Garfield's thought bubbles and they are even better with time :-) Thanks for sharing!
