As I wrote yesterday, I am inevitably drawn back into writing. Today I calculated that if I wished to establish an average of 100 words/day I would have to write 223 or so words every day for the rest of October. So, I set to work on part two of my Epic Fantasy, wrote 283 words and called it a day.
A short while later I realised the length of the story so far was nearly what I had been projecting for its total length, but that I still felt as if there were another five thousand words before the finish. When I asked myself what actually needed to be done before the story could end it turned out there was only one thing left. I came back, wrote that, and now the first draft of part two is done. In total, 25,544 words, likely to become much shorter when I am through.
I think I will take a break and work on some other stories before plotting part three.
