Jonathon Carroll writes about the difference in perception of physical beauty between men and women, saying "I don't know if it's because of a different way of perceiving things, or simply that men and women respond to different qualities. Generally speaking, I trust womens' words and insights much more than I do mens' for a variety of reasons. But when it comes to THIS subject, forget it."
Now, who will speak on this subject? My stance is "I do not know, what do you think?"

If it is women's behaviours, what is the cause? Is it societal preconceptions or is it a tendancy for women to exagerate/underestimate women they feel are their "competition"? Or maybe it's that the women he's dealt with have a differing standard of beauty from his and therefore he feels that he can't trust their statements?
i have no answers, only questions.

Since in the bad old days, men were in charge and women married men and belonged to them, women are taught to look for other qualities in guys, like wealth, power, confidence, etc >.>
For men, it doesn't matter as long as she's a hot piece of ass and can give him kids :\
