Gender is a Religion?

    When I was younger I had the impression everyone had to have a religion. I tried to find one which I could bear to claim as my own. For many years Buddhism was a leading contender. Then I realised people do not need religion at all and I became a Discordian.

Ok, semmings how pretty much everyone i know is Discordian can someone please explain to me what the hell that is? One of my friends sent me to a link once but i quickly got confused and passed out.

You might want to start by reading the Discordianism wikipedia entry. That certainly will give you something more attainable (although "Five tons of flax" really does sum it up).

You may also want to read the Principia Discordia to get a better idea what in the hell we're going on about.

I have long wondered what discordianism was, while suspecting it's nature as presented in this thread, due to previous experience with other discordians. It is interesting and tempting.

I was born to a (mostly) Buddhist family and although I don't practice it really seriously I have never thought about which religion I should put down as my own.
