I just heard a news report about a fifteen year old girl who was strangled to death by two other teenage girls because they felt like it - this is according to what they said in court according to the newsreader.

We were also presented with a video quote from Steve Post of the WA Police Department saying that if parents are aware that their children are dabbling in the Emo culture or Goth culture they should take care and try to steer them in the right direction. No explanation for the relevance of this statement was given.

It's got nothing to do with the fact that the murderers might have been taking drugs. Oh no. It's because they were emo. That makes much more sense!

Sad news, sad news. There's so much to be fixed.
And I don't really agree to giving a life sentence to 16 year olds either.

As for the WA police being anti-goth, well, I don't know if that's the right attitude for police. I don't like goth, but will an anti-goth police may do the wrong thing by a victim if she happens to be goth?
