No. That's real. Here's a web site for him. (http://www.house.gov/weiner/) Just about all of his claims are right on the money. Yes, they are debating Speaker Nancy Pelosi's use of a 757 as her executive jet. Oddly enough the Bush Administration supports her use of a 757. The rest of the claims, fewer days in session for the 109th Congress than the "Do Nothing Congress", etcetera, are all true to the best of my knowledge.
That is just the tip of the iceberg. What they have all collectively done to this nation is inexcusable. I am happy to see that the Democrats are taking much needed action, but we won't be America again until every piece of legislation for the past six years is independently re-reviewed and re-decided upon by something other than a political monopoly.
I am happy to see that the states are rebelling on the little-known Real ID issue that has been pretty much ignored. Here's something that is going to impact all of our lives and have lasting consequences, and hardly anyone knows about it. Worse, it was a line item added to a bill that was originally meant to support our troops. One has nothing to do with the other. Read ID should have been its own piece of legislation and debated separately, but they tacked it on as a foot-note at the eleventh hour on a Friday and hoped no one would notice.
Basically, it's a single National ID that will make State ID systems obsolete. It's the new social security number. It's the new centralized tracking database for everything. It may have RFID (Radio Frequency ID, a size-of-a-grain-of-rice digital data radio transmitter that is uniquely keyed to you). This is the kind of technology that government(s), corporations, crackers, stalkers, and just about anyone else can use to attach whatever information they want to you. The information does not need to be true or accurate. There is no one at the data analyst's end saying, "That data really is not indicative of deviant anti-social behavior." Analysts will use the data to come to whatever conclusion they like or compile personality profiles that simply are not true.
I know, I was joking. In the same vein though, if I ever get an RFID passport I'm throwing it in the microwave oven for 15s or so. Same with this crap if it ever comes out.

We have become our own worst enemy over here.
