Still playing around with things, now toying with the idea of some kind of weekly update on my writing progress. Hopefully this will spur me to greater productivity (where have I said that before?). On an unrelated note, I have often said that if I had a band it would sound like Muse but since I don't play any instruments this may be mistaken.

I am still reading.

And don't worry, I think your skill as a writer will shine through any sort of genre you choose. What makes me not care for science fiction and fantasy is that both genres tend to get needlessly (in my opinion) focussed on pointless detail and use it as a crutch to forego proper storytelling and description. Basically, I enjoy stories - not statistics.
And, really, in the little that I've seen so far - I haven't noticed you doing that, so I can imagine I'll enjoy the newer things. (:
