265 more words copied yesterday. Not precisely progress. Currently I am using the measured pace of transcription to give myself a relatively peaceful rest from writing, but should I really be doing that when I have not actually been writing for nearly a month before this?
It is giving me time to decide what I wish to write next. Even though I have not made that decision yet I am still growing anxious to write something new. Perhaps, instead of maintaining this constant rate of transcribing ~230 words each day I should push for as many as I manage and if I run out of pre-written story before knowing what comes next, just deal with that then.
There is some worry of burning out by pushing too hard doing that. It might be better if instead of setting myself word quotas I set quotas of time. However, I still want to see if I can get myself to 400 words daily. I know that is not a large amount by the standards of professional writers but it is certainly larger than any average I have maintained to this point.
