aesmael: (haircut)
I hear this morning was the coldest all year. It certainly felt like it. I was bit late too, bad start for my first day learning the sacred art of the librarian but fortunately I did not miss much. About the only productive things I accomplished from today's class were:
  1. Found out when and where all my classes are
  2. In my break wrote some more of a story not previously mentioned here (I think)
On Mondays I am only in class until noon so afterwards there was time to take care of some business. First thing, I bought my very first Western comic! First time I ever saw comics for sale around here. They apparently got them in along with the other new stock a few days ago. I bought one of those rather than one of the books I'd already had my eye on to get the system registering demand. The title I bought was Preludes & Nocturnes by some chap. One of the women at the bookstore (the one I am not working at) would sing along with snatches of the Beatles music that was playing. I had trouble not joining in.

Pretty!

Clearly I need more books. That's the to-read pile on my desk.

After this I at last replaced my old bag with a new one. It has been in dire straights for at least a year but now I have a spiffy canvas bag and the sky is the limit. Ooh, I feel all organised already.

It's dead, Jim

Last task of the day, getting petrol for the car. I still feel nervous anticipating driving but I find once I am actually doing it I seem to know what I am doing. It all happened surprisingly easily. On the way back home I got the impression the car in front of me was better than the people driving it, responding easily once they noticed what was going on.

Not a petrol station. This is my new bag.

Some birds seem to be nesting beside our driveway. I do hope they will not get spooked. And, because I feel like it, here is a preview of what I intend to wear on Friday!

Got to love a girl in grey!
