Current Affairs?

    I don't watch those programs if I can help it but lately there was some advertising for a story about some companies that were - horror of horrors! - refusing to employ Australians locally and only hiring foreigners because they are cheaper.

    It seems to me that if a country does not want this happening it should be required that non-citizens are paid at the same rate as citizens. Then (I naively hope) the only reason foreign workers would be preferred is if they are better qualified. No need for any OMGNon-whites! panic at all.

Hm. Seems there'd be a lot of loopholes around that kind of thing, what with "job descriptions" being so easily massaged and whatnot.

Is this China? China recently started undercutting Indian tech support in pricing...you'd be shocked how fast the market tends to correct these sorts of things. >.>

That would help :3 But then you might get other kinds of racism. :( Where since everybody has to be paid the same, let's hire the ppl who look like me and whom I feel comfortable being around. :\
