I wonder what George Orwell would think of the show 'Big Brother'.
I have not yet seen the movie Sunshine but I suspect Stephen Baxter's Xeelee sequence was more interesting. What other stories of Sol dying early? (The Time Machine does not count, H.G. Wells wrote it before we knew how the thing worked although in The Time Ships... [Hmm, Baxter again]).
Possibly one reason the show Medium bothers me so much is that the Allison Dubois character is so clearly the centre of the universe it freaks me out. I feel like looking somewhere she is not would reveal a great howling nothingness.
