No Story This Week

And maybe not for a while either. As of today I am now employed - a promoter of renewable energy sources. The downside (apart from pay barely more than social security) is that I now have barely enough time for my degree, let alone writing, so either I learn to manage my time better or anything I come out with will be a complete bonus. Training starts tomorrow. Oh well oh well *whistles nonchalantly*

Extrasolar Planets

This was the base of a presentation I gave two years ago for astrobiology. Since it was focused on the same topic I am studying for this semester's project I thought it might help to refresh me by retyping it here. ( Extrasolar planets are planets orbiting other stars. Extraterrestrial life will require planets to live on. Extrasolar planets can be detected by four methods: The Doppler Method, Astrometry, Observation of Transits or by Direct Observation. New instruments are being prepared which will aid the search for more planets. Most planets discovered so far exist in systems hostile to life )
