The next, this page comes up for no apparent reason. Bizarre. The last time I visited it was years and computers ago, no idea how it appeared. I did not even know it still existed. Still... may come in handy.

Delay - Undelay!
2006-08-25 15:12 Last week there should have been a story and this week there should have been none. There have been a few other things I wanted to post that kept getting bumped so let's see if I can just tug on this string and watch everything slip into place. Right after posting Wednesday's piece I went and wrote out the one for two weeks from now (it is very short) but that still leaves me with next week's to do. Hm, and there were some notes for class about the SIM mission I wanted to post that got et. So much to do. I wish only for the clarity of thought to accomplish it.
(also funny looking capitalisation) and consequently intend to post entries about whatever I am studying at the time. One subject I wish to spend more time learning is mathematics so I would like to ask if anyone reading knows of a program I could use to 'do' math on a Windows computer? Preferably one which is also friendly toward livejournal posts. Either way, 'tis off on a slow, half-hearted search for my goal. Self, away!
Let's Try Again
2006-08-25 18:03One of the resources I am using for my report is this site: http://planetquest.jpl.nasa.gov/index.cfm
First thing to look at: The SIM PlanetQuest mission. I think last time I checked on this it was only called the SIM for Space Interferometry Mission (so that mission I threw in there was probably a case of RAS).
Firster things first. SIM is an optical interferometry mission. This means it combines the input from several instruments to form a higher resolution image. It saves us the trouble of trying to build a ten metre mirror in space (or building one down here and lifting it into space). The description is poor in this place because I need to reacquaint myself with the stuff.
