I have two on the desk at which I sit now. From them, these:

    "It's of no use disguising facts, ma'am," said Mr Bumble, slowly flourishing the teaspoon with a kind of amorous dignity which made him doubly impressive; "I would drown it myself, with pleasure."

Dead Line

I must finish my backup story for tonight. After this I am changing my schedule to once every two weeks. I will try to produce something new each week and hopefully move back to a once weekly schedule once I know I can do it consistently. My intent at first is to spin off a number of serial tales which can be added to as the fancy takes me. Tonight's is not a serial, as such, but nor is it an isolated tale. Many thanks go to udonman for reminding me of this story, originally written during a high school english exam. I do hope it will turn out rather better this time.

Update: It looks as though I will not be finishing this story tonight, very frustrating. With very few surprises I knew the whole of it as soon as I started. Only the parrticular words and their order elude me. It does seem to want to be told in a graphic format though, so perhaps in the future it will need to be redone yet again.
