I'm a Bad Kitty
2006-06-27 20:37Woke up this morning to discover that lying on my side gets hair in my ears, yay! The feeling is kind of annoying itself but it is a step closer to the long hair I always wanted. Went for a walk, it felt great to get out in the fresh air again. I really need a bike so I can range wider, better add it to the list.
Bike - clean and healthy and fun
Laptop - Fresh air writing, yay!
Camera - My soul collection is much too sparse
Walking today reminded me of what I was thinking last time I went wandering outside. Found myself thinking maybe I am not a very curious person, never seem to be investigating hows and whys, usually content to just let people tell me what they wish of themselves never seem to have any follow up questions even though I am usually very interested in what they have to say. But as soon as I was thinking this, looking around me I realised I understood - at least in a basic way - just about everything I could see around me, how it was formed or made, the reason for its structure, colour, its composition, etc. I don't mean I could draw detailed blueprints and there is much much more to learn about even the simplest of things but nothing in my environment had me mystified. Which I think is amazing, that we live in an age when it is possible to so thoroughly the structure of our world, from the subatomic to the cosmic.
It is one of my goals in life to help ensure this knowledge is retained in the future, that it can be extended. I want to see a future in which more people know and understand the world(s) in which they live, the better to enjoy its pleasures.
