I know some who  have expressed similar views on occasion (not the last part). Sadly they were not correct. For emphasis, quoting Unkunvenshunal:

It really bothers me when people feel like feminists [sic] work is done merely because we have the right to vote and own land.

What about equal pay?
Equal money spent on medical research?
Not being sexually harrassed [sic] on the street or at work?
Equal division of work in the home?

I could go on and on, but you get my point. We have a long ways to go....its [sic] just unfortunate that so many think our fight is done.

Totally true! I'm tired of ppl acting like feminists are something to avoid and not something you want to be :\ I hate hearing my girl friends say "I'm not a feminist, I believe in equal rights but I dun believe girls are superior to guys"... like srsly, is that what ppl think now? And everybody acts like things are fine and dandy, racism, homophobia, sexism is all gone b/c women can vote, gays aren't being arrested and blacks can sit at the front of the bus! Like who cares about pay equality, or equal marriage, or how women are portrayed in media! The fact that we're not being beaten, jailed or overtly oppressed means things are fine and dandy everywhere!

I agree with you. What I am most concerned about it that there's still this threat of violence to the 'weak and minority' - something which I think society as a whole should address more adequately through both law enforcement and education.
The fight has just begun and must go on for some time. We can't give anything to the bigots - not so early at least.
