Post Partum

Something I forgot to mention in my ramblings about Hard Times: my sisters were surprised to learn it was set in a time before weekends (the union scenes reminded me of this). I think it is important to remember the achievements our ancestors fought for (or against).

Today's episode of M*A*S*H made me cry.

My lecturer was featured in a blurby sort of article in the local papers promoting his OSETI work (the only such project in the southern hemisphere) and his new book.

On Sunday Nine played the only episode of Enterprise I have really liked so far, Dark Mirror Pt 1. I wonder if it had anything to do with not including the regular crew at all and instead featuring all sorts of nifty things like the Terran Empire, Tholians and a Constitution class starship complete with familiar bridge sounds. Can't wait to see how it continues next week; this is just about the only episode of the series I would want to keep to watch again later. But then, I suppose I might be considered more of a fan of the Star Fleet Universe than Star Trek itself (though there's plenty I have not yet seen)

That alternate universe two parter was definitely a highlight of the series. I am sure you won't be disappointed with part 2 : ).

Dark Mirror is the TNG book based in the Mirror universe :O

I think this episode is called "Through a Mirror, Darkly".

And it's also my favourite Enterprise episode. I dun rly like Enterprise, so that might not be saying much XD But everybody seems to be having so much fun in that episode. Esp the actor that plays Malcolm Reed. I was sad to see him die cuz he was rly enjoying being bad! :D

Oh, whoops! I have the book too, maybe that's why I got them confused. Welp, Part 2 tomorrow night, probably the first episode I have looked forward to since it started, yay! ^_^

Part 2 is funny tho cuz you get to see the old style model ship beat up on new style ships :O And even tho storyline wise the original series ships would be more powerful, it's funny cuz they look so simple and unsophisticated compared to the Enterprise era ones xDDDD
