I actually am all for (and have forever aimed for) a permanent love that cannot be changed. However, I wouldn't wish that all marriages be made to conform to this ideal - that can be hell for some people. Maybe I should say I don't want 'just a marriage' (which is a contract) - I want a permanent love (which is a state of being).
